KIMU learns from the vitality and resilience of green plants that will always find their own way to survive and grow wherever, whenever. By watering and taking care of a small plant in our daily life, we learn to appreciate the beauty of pureness and start the journey of self exploration.
Ellsworth Kelly was an American painter, sculptor, and printmaker associated with hard-edge painting, Color Field painting and minimalism. His works demonstrate unassuming techniques emphasizing line, color and form, similar to the work of John McLaughlin and Kenneth Noland.
Three colours inspired by Ellsworth Kelly:
1961 Blue | Blue is the warmest color and matches perfectly with any colors of plants.
1964 Green | The low-key, neutral green is just like fresh air from a natural botanical garden.
2021 Pink | The unique pink decorates your interior with Scandinavian style through color contrast.
The fourth colour from 60s: Walnut edition
Wood, one of KIMU’s favorite materials and textures conveys the DNA of oriental culture and our longings for western nomadic lifestyle. It’s the fundamental element of every piece of KIMU products, creating a sense of conflict but fusion when it is matched with different materials.
